What support is provided on your A Levels?

This is a question we are asked every day by prospective students and in the main from parents enquiring on behalf of their son or daughter.
We are honest about the support provided to learners to manage expectation. When you select to study an online A Level, you do not have the option of a tutor sat in front of you as you would when attending 6th form locally.
All students will be given the name and email address of their tutor shortly after enrolment. You can then correspond with your tutor as you see fit. If you need help, then simply pop an email to your tutor and ask. If you need 1-1 support, then this is not for you. Unfortunately, we do not provide telephone support for our A levels.
Your tutor will respond within 48 hours and mark your assessments within 10 days. Once you access your course resources, you can then plan accordingly and set your own time table and targets around these timescales.
In all honesty, since the pandemic the amount of support requests has decreased dramatically amongst younger learners. The vast majority are more than capable of using YouTube etc, to find information. In fact, they much prefer to do this rather speaking to someone on the phone.
As we often say to parents when they make their enquiries regarding support "How often does your son/daughter pick up the phone, when you call them" The reality is they rarely answer but within seconds will reply with a text asking why you are trying to call them.
Please try not to get bogged down or influenced by online providers stating how important the support is and charging you a fortune for the privilege. In our experience it isn't to the majority of our learners, in particular to the younger learners. Quite often, parents end up paying for something their son/daughter never uses because it was important to them personally, when they studied many years ago. Times have changed !
If you choose to study your A levels with us, support and assessment marking is available when you need it. Our tutors will reply in a timely manner as stated above.
