Early Years Placement Requirements

All students must have a confirmed placement prior to enrolment, either voluntary or employed in a nursery/preschool in mainland England for duration of the whole course until completion
Level 2 - (9-12 months on average)
Level 3 - (12-18 months on average)
We advise a minimum of 8 hours per week in placement but the more you do, the quicker you are likely to complete. 8 hours is the minimum!
If you are not currently working in a nursery or pre-school, it is worth speaking to nurseries locally and offering to volunteer in exchange for their assistance in gaining your qualification. Nurseries can be very receptive to volunteers and by doing so, this often leads to employment at the end of your course.
Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with finding placements for learners. This must be done independently.
Due to observation requirements, students located outside of mainland England are not able to register for this course without prior arrangement. We may be able to arrange observation at your setting for an additional cost. Please contact us for further details.
