Our courses are not accepted for membership to the BACP. The BACP will not accept any courses taken purely online and prefer their members to have completed their training face to face with a minimum amount of practical hours included.
It important to understand, that you do not need to be a member of the BACP to become a counsellor or indeed take a course accredited by them.
There are other numerous organisations you may wish to consider if membership of organisation is important to you. A quick google search will identify many for your consideration. Membership criteria for each one will vary, so be sure to check out their requirements prior to enrolment if this is of importance to you personally.
Be advised, the counselling sector is totally unregulated, so there are no official guidelines or memberships required. The BACP themselves operate totally unregulated.
Do your research first of all and then find the course to match your ambitions.
